Rental Terms

ATTENTION! Parking and speeding tickets will be charged in double!!!

The agreement (hereinafter the Agreement) has been concluded upon vehicle (hereinafter the Vehicle) lease between the Lessor and the Lessee as follows requirements to the Lessee and his obligations.

  1. The Renter must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license and have at least two years of driving experience.
  2. The Renter agrees to personally drive the Rental Vehicle and not allow any third party to drive it without the prior written consent of the Lessor.
  3. The Renter must use the Rental Vehicle responsibly and with due care. Use of the vehicle for unlawful purposes, towing, racing, driver training or any other improper use is prohibited. Use of the vehicle outside designated roads is also prohibited. The vehicle may be equipped with a location-based tracking system.
  4. If damage results from improper use of the Rental Vehicle, the Renter must compensate the Lessor for the repair period calculated as 1 day of repair = 1 day of rental, but not exceeding 30 days. Loss of vehicle keys or documents, or damage to a tyre or wheel, is subject to a 200 EUR penalty. The place and scope of repair shall be determined by the Lessor.
  5. The Renter must monitor the technical condition of the Rental Vehicle during the rental period (oil level, coolant level, brake fluid level, lights, tyre pressure, etc.). Costs related to normal operation of the vehicle shall be covered by the Lessor.
  6. In the event of an accident, personal injury, damage to the vehicle or theft of its parts, the Renter must immediately notify the police and the Lessor and submit a written explanation within 24 hours of the incident.
  7. The Renter is fully responsible for any missing parts or accessories of the Rental Vehicle. In case of damage, the Renter must compensate the damage up to the deductible specified in the agreement. The Renter’s deductible is 400 EUR unless otherwise specified in the rental agreement. If damage results from negligence, intentional misconduct, breach of the agreement, or if the vehicle was used under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicating substances, the Renter shall be liable for the full amount of damage regardless of the deductible.
  8. In case of theft or loss of the Rental Vehicle, the Renter must return the vehicle documents and keys to the Lessor. If the keys and documents are not returned, the Renter shall be fully liable for the loss of the vehicle.
  9. The Renter is responsible for damage caused to the Rental Vehicle by third parties to the extent not covered by insurance.
  10. The Lessor shall not be liable for any expenses incurred by the Renter due to interruption of the rental caused by breakdown or technical failure of the Rental Vehicle.
  11. The estimated rental fee must be paid at the start of the rental. The Renter must make a prepayment according to the requested rental period. The prepayment is non-refundable in case of cancellation or modification of the reservation. The Lessor has the right to require a security deposit up to the amount of the deductible specified in this agreement.
  12. Fuel is not included in the rental price. The vehicle is delivered and must be returned with a full fuel tank. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, the missing fuel and a 20 EUR refuelling service fee will be charged.
  13. A rental day is 24 hours. The permitted mileage is 400 km per day or 4000 km per month. The Renter must return the vehicle at the agreed place and time stated in the rental agreement.
  14. If the vehicle is returned late, the Renter must pay the rental fee for the delayed period at three times the standard rate. The Renter is also liable for any economic loss caused to the Lessor due to the delay. Late payments are subject to 2% interest per day on the outstanding amount.
  15. The Renter must pay all fines, claims and penalties incurred during the use of the Rental Vehicle in accordance with applicable laws and the Lessor’s price list, but not less than 30 EUR.
  16. Unpaid parking fines will be charged at double the amount.
  17. Taking the Rental Vehicle outside the Republic of Estonia without the prior written consent of the Lessor is prohibited.
  18. Smoking in the Rental Vehicle is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in a 200 EUR penalty.
  19. The Rental Vehicle must be returned in normal condition. If the vehicle is returned excessively dirty (e.g. heavily muddy exterior, dirty interior, animal hair, etc.), the Lessor has the right to charge a cleaning fee based on the actual cleaning cost or invoice.
  20. The Lessor is not responsible for items left in the Rental Vehicle. Such items will be stored for up to 14 (fourteen) days from the end of the rental period, i.e. from the return of the vehicle; retrieval is at the initiative of the Renter. After this period, the Lessor has the right to dispose of the items at its discretion.

 

In case of discrepancies between language versions, the Estonian version shall prevail.
